smoking gun: Information or evidence that proves that something is true or that someone has committed a crime

ex: The tape recordings provided prosecutors with the smoking gun they needed to prove he'd been involved in the conspiracy.

 savvy: Having a good understanding and practical knowledge of something

ex: You can find your way back by yourself-just use your savvy.

manipulate: To control something or someone to your advantage, often unfairly or dishonestly.

ex: The opposition leader accused government ministers of manipulating the statistics to suit themselves.

psychology: The scientific study of the way the human mind works and how it influences behavior or the influence of a particular person's character on their behavior.

ex: She studied psychology at Harvard.

assume: To accept something to be true without question or proof.

ex: We can't assume the suspects to be guilty simply because they've decided to remain silent.

sensibly: Sensibly or practically.

ex: She wasn't very sensibly dressed for hiking.
